Job Description
The Home Healthcare (HH) Continuous Care Nurse Assistant International (NAI) collaborates in assessing patient care requirements to deliver complete home healthcare support. Operating with minimal supervision in standard situations, this position manages patient care duties, observes vital signs, administers medications, and supports patients with daily living activities.
Essential Job Function
- Assists with performing patient assessments, examinations, and therapies to ensure consistent delivery of comprehensive and personalized patient care.
- Helps in understanding patient data to shape medical decisions, treatment protocols, and actions.
- Contributes to carrying out prescribed medical treatments and interventions while ensuring compliance with established protocols and maintaining patient safety as a priority.
- Improves patient outcomes through effective communication and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Collaborates with senior medical professionals to seek guidance and support in managing complex patient cases and challenging healthcare situations, ensuring the best possible patient care.
- Takes on extra tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
