Job Description
One of the duties of the Physician Compensation Specialist involves aiding in various physician-related activities within CHMG, such as closing month-end procedures, creating budgets, generating productivity reports, managing compensation and payroll processing, fulfilling financial needs of management, and offering support for benefit enrollment.
Essential Job Function:
- Responsible for completing reconciliations related to physician activities and providing support for financial tasks involving non-physician activities.
- Carries out scheduled financial activities to support informed financial choices, involving financial analysis and deviation scrutiny.
- Undertakes specialized tasks concerning the assessment of physician remuneration and engages in cooperation with physicians, Directors, and Senior Leaders to tackle any arising issues.
- Manages designated CME programs and license renewals for physicians.
- Contributes to the budgeting process each year by organizing summaries and schedules.
- Responsible for supervising designated CHMG physician compensation duties, which involve updating plans, processing bonus payments, reporting on productivity, and monitoring benefit enrollment.
- Delivers support in utilizing computer systems for financial purposes and helps in explaining the procedures for handling physician transactions effectively.
- Aids in the completion of the monthly financial closing activities by compiling necessary documentation and reports.
- Reviews variances between budgeted and actual amounts for the purpose of ensuring financial statement accuracy.
- Executes any other responsibilities given.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 15 credit hours in accounting or closely related course work at an accredited institutionPreferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
- Required: Minimum 4 years experience in directly related role. Candidates with preferred education (Bachelors degree or higher inrelated field). Preferred: Experience in hospital/healthcare industry
