Overview:

This position is part of the Ambulatory Network Development Team.

This position offers a flexible approach, with the ability to work on-site regularly and when it is deemed necessary. The incumbent will travel to various Cone sites in the Piedmont/Triad area for meetings and to connect with colleagues and clients as the company expands its services.

Possession of PMP or comparable project management certifications is highly valued in candidates. While a background in healthcare is preferred, it is not obligatory.

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the formulation and arrangement of operational tasks associated with a designated endeavor within the company, as well as overseeing its day-to-day operations. Reporting to a superior, this role participates in creating relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) for the healthcare domain to gauge the success of the program, regularly appraising patient happiness levels, healthcare outcomes, and resource allocation, and detecting avenues for continual progress and originality in patient well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the strategic planning development for upcoming healthcare programs is crucial to align them with the medical group's mission of providing exceptional patient care, improving healthcare outcomes, and expanding service offerings to suit patient needs.
  • Provides assistance to program personnel, which includes doctors, nurses, and support staff, in developing a cohesive and motivated team that collaborates actively to implement innovative medical treatments, patient care protocols, and operational enhancements at their respective locations.
  • Designs program budgets that prioritize resource allocation for critical aspects like acquiring medical equipment, training employees, and launching patient outreach programs, with ongoing monitoring of financial performance to achieve program objectives and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Fosters and sustains meaningful relationships with internal and external partners, which encompass healthcare practitioners from diverse specializations, leaders of hospital units, community health organizations, influential figures in the community, and funding bodies. These collaborations are vital for fostering the growth of the hospital/medical practice and enhancing patient health outcomes.
  • Oversees the successful implementation of healthcare strategies, which may involve organizing community health screenings, facilitating patient education sessions, managing disease control programs, and conducting clinical investigations, all while ensuring adherence to medical norms, safety protocols, and ethical considerations.
  • Regularly briefs senior management, providing program updates, achievements, challenges, and potential solutions, and conveys the program's impact to internal stakeholders, which include medical staff and department heads, as well as external stakeholders, to promote transparency and engagement in the organization's healthcare endeavors. Undertakes other assigned tasks alongside these responsibilities.
