The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to deliver quality patient care and ensure positive patient results through the caring and effective utilization of nursing knowledge. Operating with general oversight, this position advances professional nursing practices by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts across various disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patient conditions and requirements to deliver nursing support in the assigned unit and make certain that each patient is attended to appropriately and according to their specific needs.
- Reviews patient details, such as medical histories, diagnostic findings, and current states, to devise unique nursing care schedules.
- Implements nursing procedures such as medication delivery and therapies to offer thorough and impactful patient care.
- Compares medical files to guarantee precision and alignment with regulatory standards and organizational rules.
- Analyzes patient feedback on interventions and recognizes the requirement for additional interventions to fulfill defined care goals.
- Collaborates with various healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans.
- Undertakes supplemental duties as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
