Job Description
Overview:
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Hospital Based High Acuity Care role focuses on delivering specialized medical services to patients with complex needs within a hospital setting while collaborating with physicians. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, interpretation of diagnostic findings, and the creation and execution of tailored treatment plans alongside other healthcare providers. This position demands a superior level of clinical proficiency and the capability to thrive in a dynamic and high-stress work environment. Hospital Based High Acuity Care encompasses both medical and surgical practices in Pulmonary Critical Care, Obstetrics & Gynecology including labor & delivery, as well as Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) at both level 2 and level 3 facilities
Responsibilities:
Conducts physical examinations on the patient, evaluates their medical background, and analyzes the outcomes of diagnostic tests to deliver appropriate care for the patient.
Administers preventive health assessments tailored to individuals' ages, medical backgrounds, and specific requirements to deliver anticipatory medical services.
Provides patients and their families with information regarding complex medical conditions requiring intensive care, as well as the corresponding treatment and post-care instructions.
Records patient care details meticulously to uphold the accuracy of patient medical history.
Administers complex medical treatments following department protocols and professional responsibilities.
Recognizes methods to enhance the treatment of critically ill patients through the examination, resolving, and reviewing of medical and operational challenges.
Carries out additional responsibilities as delegated.

Required:
- Master Degree Nursing (Nurse Practitioner Neonatal Nurse Practitioner)
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1-2 Years
Preferred:
- 3+ Years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Valid NC RN and NC NP
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
