Job Description
The Application Analyst Intermediate is responsible for providing technical support for sophisticated clinical and/or business applications to enhance their overall efficiency and ensure compliance with the organization's requirements. With moderate oversight, this role involves collecting, analyzing, and evaluating user needs, along with implementing, optimizing, supporting, and resolving issues with clinical and/or business applications.
Essential Job Function
- Coordinates with internal and external technical teams and end-user representatives to ensure that applications and other third-party systems are in line with the clinical and business necessities of the organization during the system development and implementation process.
- Assesses thoroughly the workflows of end user departments, methods of data collection, details of reports, and technical issues concerning design and build choices, requiring detailed qualitative and quantitative examination of data and information gathered during application requirement identification.
- Adapts the business and medical functionalities into system configurations and workflow designs.
- Designs and conducts test scripts for the purpose of application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Records test results, project layouts, modification tracking, system obstacles, and internal guidelines in compliance with departmental standards.
- Works on providing technical application support, troubleshooting complex systems, and monitoring data quality and system efficiency while promptly escalating any identified problems for resolution.
- Leads in understanding new technical theories and solutions and their integration into healthcare settings.
- Helps with incorporating and managing systems provided by external sources.
- Provides the needed experience and knowledge to ensure that all aspects of the application are synchronized with the other cross-functional applications utilized by the organization.
- Executes extra responsibilities as directed.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
