Job Description

In the role of Application Analyst Intermediate, one is tasked with providing technical assistance for complex clinical and/or business applications to enhance their overall performance and ensure they align with the organization's objectives. This position involves gathering, analyzing, and assessing user requirements, as well as implementing, optimizing, backing, and diagnosing clinical and/or business applications. Preference is given to individuals with Epic certification in Willow for this role.

Essential Job Function:

  • Works alongside internal and external technical experts as well as end-user communities to ensure that the organization's clinical and business demands are met when constructing and rolling out applications and third-party platforms.
  • Undertakes comprehensive assessments of end user department operations, data compilation procedures, report specifications, and technical concerns in relation to the formulation of design and construction determinations, alongside performing intricate qualitative and quantitative scrutiny on the data and information acquired during the process of gathering application requisites.
  • Interprets and implements the business and healthcare aspects into software setup and procedures.
  • Creates and carries out test scripts for the purposes of application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Registers test findings, project blueprints, alteration oversight, system malfunctions, and operational protocols as per departmental protocols.
  • Offers application support by diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring data quality, operational efficiency, and system integrity, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging technical concepts and solutions and how they can be utilized in the healthcare sector.
  • Supporting the integration and upkeep of outsourced technology platforms.
  • Brings the essential experience and skills to ensure that all elements of the application are effectively integrated with the other cross-functional applications employed by the organization.
  • Executes any other responsibilities as designated.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field

Experience

  • Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
