Job Description
The Application Analyst Lead specializes in offering technical support for complex clinical and/or business applications to improve their performance and ensure they fulfill the organization's needs. With a focus on application administration, this position coordinates team efforts to gather, analyze, and evaluate user requirements, and to implement, optimize, support, and troubleshoot clinical and/or business applications.
Essential Job Function:
- Manages, schedules, and delegates responsibilities to meet team timelines, monitors work plans and progress updates, and decides when to escalate concerns to management. Leads work teams, offering guidance, organization, and communication between different departments.
- Utilizes expertise and background to ensure seamless integration between the application and other cross-functional software applications utilized by the organization.
- Assists in overseeing and directing projects and/or project assignments.
- Works together with internal and external technical experts and end user groups to verify that applications and other external systems fulfill the clinical and business demands of the organization during the construction and launch of the system.
- Performs expert-level consulting, system administration and analysis of end user department workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues as they relate to design and build decisions.
- Transforms the understanding of business and clinical operations into system arrangement and workflow validations.
- Rigorous testing scripts are authored, organized, and implemented to evaluate applications, new releases, integration, and user acceptance.
- Maintains documentation of test results, design revisions, change oversight, system glitches, and internal practices following departmental guidelines.
- Supports the functioning of complex applications through technical assistance and issue resolution.
- Keeps a check on the systems to confirm data accuracy, efficiency, operation, and data authenticity, and reports any issues or discrepancies appropriately.
- Maintains awareness of recent technical developments and solutions and their suitability for implementation in healthcare contexts.
- Aids in the implementation and maintenance of software solutions from external vendors.
- Accomplishes additional duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
- Required: 5 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: If applicable, platform-centric certification required.
