Overview:
In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Technician observes and records patient health indicators. Operating under close guidance, this position provides aid to patients in enhancing their mobility and attending to their daily needs when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Assists patients with essential tasks like meal preparation, grooming, and gradual physical activity to facilitate their recuperation and treatment program.
Examines the quality of life of individuals concerning their nutritional intake, hydration levels, and excretory functions to manage resources effectively and foresee patient demands.
Manages the process of admitting, transferring, or releasing patients to ensure they are relocated as per the care plan.
Assists in clinical tasks, like monitoring blood glucose levels, registering vital measurements, taking EKG readings, using physical restraints, and tending to patient's elimination needs to deliver quality and compassionate healthcare.
Helps in the management of unit inventories for supplies and medical equipment to promote a hygienic and secure setting aligned with the National Patient Safety Goals.
Ensures that patients prone to falling have been equipped with suitable wristbands, socks, and notices to maintain their physical safety.
Assists in documenting all medical protocols, patient communications, and pharmaceutical utilization in order to preserve a comprehensive patient background.
Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
Executes any other responsibilities given.
