Overview:
The Nurse Tech - Transporter aids the Registered Nurse by monitoring and recording patient status, under close supervision. This position involves helping patients with daily activities and promoting movement. A key duty is ensuring safe and prompt transportation of patients within the facility.
Responsibilities:
Assisting individuals with their daily activities such as meals, personal hygiene, and improving movement to aid in their healing and treatment program.
Assessing patient's overall well-being concerning nutrition, fluid intake, and waste elimination is essential for allocating resources effectively and preparing for patients' requirements.
Facilitates the transition of patients to different units or facilities in accordance with their treatment plan.
Assisting patients with their elimination requirements, such as managing ostomies, administering enemas, and utilizing condom catheters to ensure their comfort during care.
Assisting in managing the stock of supplies and equipment within a unit to uphold a tidy and secure setting while complying with guidelines
The focus of the National Patient Safety Goals is to ensure the safety of patients in healthcare settings across the country.
Verifies that patients at risk of falling are equipped with the correct armbands, socks, and signs to guarantee their physical safety.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
