The Physical Therapist II assesses the medical conditions of patients, creates individualized therapy strategies, and executes therapeutic measures to enhance functional capabilities. This role can proficiently and independently cater to all patients within the clinical environment and fulfill all responsibilities related to physical therapy with limited supervision. Actively engaging in communication with team members from various disciplines, adeptly treating known patients, and championing for both patients and the team are key aspects of this role. In challenging scenarios, this role might need mentoring and could encounter obstacles when transitioning to different work settings.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and manages a wide range of diagnoses and challenging cases.
Evaluates patient's physical capacities, health records, and functional restrictions in-depth to craft personalized intervention strategies.
Provides therapeutic activities and additional physical therapy techniques to enhance patient's muscle power, mobility, and flexibility.
Informs patients and their loved ones about treatment strategies, at-home physical activities, and self-care methods to enhance rehabilitation results.
Works together with others to create and execute plans for discharge and suggestions for ongoing care.
Keeps track of patient's advancements, treatment results, and reactions to interventions to allow for necessary modifications to treatment strategies.
Works together with interdisciplinary teams from various departments to guarantee synchronized patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Carries out additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
