Job Description
Overview:
The Radiology Technologist Extender offers aid and backup to the radiologic technologist in tending to patients and their families throughout the imaging procedure. Under close supervision, this role aids the Radiologic Technologist by conducting simple patient evaluations, such as confirming patient orders, filling out patient forms, and preparing and guiding patients.
Responsibilities:
Assists technology experts in completing essential requirements for Computerized Health Information (CHL) registration and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying that all documentation is accurately filled out and submitted promptly.
Handles and supervises incoming telephone calls to ensure smooth communication and orderliness in the division.
Support in setting up phone notifications for upcoming exams to improve patient readiness and streamline department operations.
Boosts operational effectiveness by tidying up and replenishing procedure rooms to establish a well-equipped setting for effective patient treatment.
Greets and aids individuals as they arrive at the radiology department, including patients, their loved ones, and guests.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
