Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes patient needs and medical situations in the designated unit to provide targeted nursing care that addresses each patient's specific concerns.
- Examines patient information, such as medical records, diagnostic evaluations, and current health status, to establish tailored nursing care plans.
- Administers nursing procedures, including dispensing medication and therapies, in order to deliver thorough and efficient patient treatment.
- Assessing the patient's reaction to interventions and pinpointing any supplementary interventions required to achieve specified care goals. Engaging with a range of healthcare professionals to guarantee productive care planning.
- Handles additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
