Job Description
Overview:
Being a Registered Nurse (RN) entails administering high-quality patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the caring and effective application of nursing expertise. With supervision, this position promotes professional nursing practice by overseeing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with healthcare professionals from different fields.
Responsibilities:
Assesses patient needs and health statuses in the designated area to deliver nursing care tailored to meet the specific requirements of each patient effectively.
Examines patient particulars, incorporating medical background, diagnostic outcomes, and immediate state, to draft unique nursing care schemes.
Implements nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments, to provide thorough and efficient patient care.
Ensures that medical documentation is accurate and complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Observes patient reactions to interventions and determines the necessity for additional interventions to meet defined care objectives.
Engages in collaboration with a range of specialists to establish optimal care plans.
Performs further tasks as delegated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
