Job Description

Overview:

The Supervisor of Materials Distribution is responsible for managing the daily processes of ordering, retrieving, accepting, transporting, and restocking resources to fulfill the requirements of both departments and patients. This position requires close supervision of the accuracy of inventory records and careful monitoring of expiration dates to maintain a current and functional inventory within the department. The work hours for this role are from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with availability required for third shift as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the organization, replenishment, retrieval, replenishment, and maintenance of stock to fulfill departmental requirements.
  • Examines operational and storage spaces to guarantee they are clean and well-organized.
  • Identifies and sanctions the elimination of ineffective tools and materials from operation while notifying the relevant department(s) of any issues for resolution.
  • Monitors the precision of inventory levels, regular cycle counts, and electronic restocking of supplies on a daily basis.
  • Reviews the latest inventory data entry, updating it as needed and preparing any required paperwork.
  • Verifies that all supply deliveries are both accurate and complete, ensuring that the quality of the items meets the necessary standards.
  • Examines and addresses outstanding orders and shipping problems as well as handling product returns.
  • Carries out additional tasks as delegated.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare materials management or other related supply chain field management.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

Required:

Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
