Job Description
Overview:
The primary function of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to deliver top-notch patient care and ensure favorable patient outcomes by proficiently applying nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. Under general oversight, this role enhances professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes patient needs and health conditions in the assigned unit to provide direct and appropriate nursing care to all patients.
- Studies patient information, including medical records, test results, and current state, to design individualized nursing care plans.
- Administers nursing methodologies like medication delivery and therapies to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Aligns medical records with regulatory guidelines and internal protocols by carefully reviewing and verifying their accuracy.
- Monitoring patient reactions to treatments and determining the necessity for additional interventions to fulfill specified care goals.
- Collaborates with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to guarantee efficient care coordination.
- Carries out additional tasks as delegated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
