Job Description
Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), one is accountable for providing exceptional patient care and securing positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing expertise in a compassionate and effective way. With supervision, this role helps in advancing professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Assesses patient needs and medical situations on the allocated unit to deliver personalized nursing services that address the specific care requirements for each patient.
Scrutinizes patient data, comprising past medical records, test results, and existing condition, to formulate tailored nursing care designs.
Executes nursing processes, like administering medication and treatments, to offer thorough and effective patient care.
Verifies the accuracy and compliance of medical records by comparing them with established regulatory requirements and organizational rules.
Examines how patients react to interventions and recognizes the requirement for additional interventions to accomplish established care targets.
Works together with a team of professionals from various fields to guarantee efficient planning of patient care.
Executes supplementary responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
