Job Description
The Executive Director, Heart and Vascular Service Line is responsible for ensuring seamless transitions of care throughout the cardiovascular care continuum at Cone Health, encompassing both acute and ambulatory services. Emphasizing the importance of integrated care delivery, this role focuses on coordinating efforts with diverse stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of cardiovascular services. By collaborating closely with leaders of complementary care continuums and operative services, the Executive Director aims to establish a cohesive approach to delivering high-quality cardiovascular care in acute, procedural, and ambulatory settings. The Executive Director works in partnership with the Director of the Cardiovascular Nursing Continuum and other key stakeholders to align strategies and optimize care delivery based on the unique needs of different campuses and patient populations.
Essential Job Function
- Accountable Manager: Adheres to all necessary standards as per the requirements of the Executive Director Leadership Competencies.
- Utilizing diverse communication channels like system-wide meetings, webinars, and email correspondences helps in keeping CHMG practices well-informed about the latest system updates and initiatives. Implementing multiple modes of communication aids in disseminating information and ensuring that practitioners are kept abreast of any developments within the system.
- - Enhancing the commitment and skill advancement of directors and providers within CHMG and Cone Health is crucial.
- CHMG's mission and values are strengthened through activities such as recruitment, mentorship, and fostering relationships between providers and administrators (Dyad).
- Implements well-known methods such as rounding, consultations with providers, and meetings with Directors in order to secure the accomplishment of targets.
- Financial/Resource Manager: Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing available tools like financial reports, OA reports, and VitalStats to enhance the patient value offered by CHMG and Cone Health.
- Tasked with being accountable for the timely and precise completion of budgeting processes.
- Presents financial information to stakeholders in an informative and engaging way.
- Holding responsible parties accountable for addressing discrepancies between actual and projected financial outcomes.
- Significantly contributed to the creation of provider compensation schemes with careful consideration of incentivization strategies.
- Tasked with developing financial forecasts and proformas to find solutions to problems and identify avenues for growth.
- Person in Charge of Quality and Safety Initiatives: Held accountable for attaining CHMG, THN, Cone Health, and Heart and Vascular quality targets.
- Tasked with guaranteeing operational alignment with clinical proficiency levels, compliance mandates, risk controls, and performance indicators from ACOs and related criteria.
- Service Leader: Considers the patient as the core and inspiration for all our actions.
- Required to ensure the highest level of customer happiness is met.
- Takes charge of and encourages the participation of all personnel and providers in dealing with patient customer requirements through the use of satisfaction indicators and feedback from patients.
- A visionary, inventive, and tactical leader who applies advanced and original thinking to drive progress in the objectives of CHMG and Cone Health.
- Success is attained through ongoing self-growth and a readiness to broaden perspectives beyond one's defined area of responsibility.
- Seizes opportunities like MGMA, iCare, leadership seminars, and committee engagements as moments for learning and progress.
- Employs development methodologies and techniques to advance skills and stimulate organizational growth as needed.

- Directors are accountable for these tasks as well.
Education
- Required: Graduate Degree in Business, Finance or Health Care Administration; or BA/BS in Business, Finance or Health Care with 15+ years of Health Care Management experience.
Experience
- Required: Minimum of 10 years experience in Physician Practice Management or Ambulatory Health Care Management.
- Cardiovascular leadership experience preferred.
- Preferred: Prefer 15+ years practice management experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- REQUIRED Valid Driver's License | Valid Driver's License, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider * If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
- PREFERRED Clinical experience/certification/licensure in cardiovascular related field.
