Job Description
Ideal candidates will have a mix of Epic training and instructional design experience, with preference for those who have supported population health, care management, outreach, or quality programs. Competitive experience includes the following: Epic experience, especially Healthy Planet or Population Health Epic Credentialed Trainer or Principal Trainer experience Experience creating curriculum, job aids, and blended learning Experience training clinical or care coordination roles Strongly preferred - Epic certification in Healthy Planet, Population Health The Instructional Designer Intermediate is responsible for the successful development and system-wide delivery of training for software that is managed through the Information & Technology Services (ITS) department. Working under moderate supervision, this position designs training curricula, develops educational content, configures software training environments, coordinates & conducts training sessions, and resolves service tickets & requests. This position communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders of the organization to improve individual and organizational performance.
Essential Job Function:
- Designs and puts into action the software training regimen for designated Epic applications and ITS software, adjusting and enhancing the educational modules and support documentation for all job functions, and engaging in discussions with managers and analysts to ascertain the optimal methodologies for developing training programs and educating users.
- Delivers training and assistance to all users of the system through a mix of classroom-based sessions, self-directed study options, personalized on-the-job guidance, reinforcement courses, onboarding programs, continuous learning initiatives, internet-based resources, and a flexible blend of instructional techniques.
- Oversees the arrangement of training-related tasks and communication, attends to training requests, evaluates and deals with relevant service tickets, aids in managing help desk calls, and communicates with stakeholders.
- Designs, constructs, configures, tests, and manages the software training environments, collaborating with application teams and technical units to maintain uniformity across production and training setups.
- Involved in the process of recruiting, selecting, organizing, educating, certifying, and managing the deployment of Credentialed Trainers (CTs) for the purpose of assisting with super user and end user training.
- Ensures that CT specialists are adequately prepared and furnished to effectively cater to specific functions and user domains.
- Carries out any other responsibilities as required.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
