Job Description
The Nursing Secretary NT II role involves supporting the Registered Nurse by observing and documenting patient health status and offering help with daily activities as required. This position includes assisting patients with progressive mobility and daily tasks while closely supervised.
Essential Job Function:
- - Provides aid to patients by helping them with essential tasks like eating, hygiene, and advancing their ability to move, contributing to their healing and caregiving strategy.
- Accepts, shifts, and releases patients as part of the process to transition them to the correct places as outlined in the care plan.
- Administers care for patients' elimination needs, which may involve managing ostomies, administering enemas, and fitting condom catheters to promote patient well-being.
- Supporting the management of unit inventories of supplies and equipment plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment that aligns with the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Confirms the presence of the proper arm bands, socks, and signs for patients prone to falls to maintain their safety.
- Executes supplementary tasks as required.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
