Essential Job Function:
- Executes in-office evaluations of patients' physical conditions, examines their health records, and interprets the outcomes of medical tests to deliver tailored treatment solutions for the individual.
- Carries out preventive health evaluations according to the patient's age, medical history, and distinct healthcare necessities for proactive care provision.
- Offers education to patients and their loved ones on specialized healthcare conditions, therapies, and aftercare.
- Records all patient care activities to maintain precise patient history documentation throughout different offices.
- Conducts specialized medical treatments in the office as outlined by department standards and clinical duties.
- Determines strategies for enhancing outpatient specialty care by analyzing, resolving, and assessing clinical and systemic issues.
- Carries out various responsibilities as delegated.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: None Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersIVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
