Job Description
Overview:
The main duty of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide high-quality care to patients and ensure successful patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. Under general supervision, this position advocates for professional nursing practice by facilitating patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient needs and health conditions within the assigned area to administer nursing care that is customized and meets the direct requirements of every patient.
- Examines patient information, such as medical records, diagnostic evaluations, and current health status, to establish tailored nursing care plans.
- Validates medical documentation to ensure precision and consistency with regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines.
- Observing patient reactions to interventions and pinpointing any supplementary interventions required to accomplish predetermined care goals. Engaging with various healthcare professionals to secure effective care planning.
- Executes further responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
