Job Description
The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in administering excellent patient care and securing successful patient results by employing nursing expertise with empathy and effectiveness. Under general guidance, this position supports and advances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Essential Job Function
- Assesses patient needs and medical conditions within the assigned unit to offer nursing care and guarantee that each patient receives the required and individualized attention.
- Scrutinizes patient information, including medical records, diagnostic outcomes, and present health condition, to craft personalized nursing care plans.
- Performs nursing tasks, including medication dispensation and treatment execution, to provide comprehensive and efficient care to patients.
- Matches medical records to regulatory standards and internal policies to uphold accuracy and compliance.
- Examines the patient's response to treatments and identifies the requirement for further interventions to accomplish established care goals.
- Works collectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care planning.
- Performs additional tasks as directed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
