Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care and ensures favorable patient outcomes through the empathetic and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Operating under general oversight, this role advances professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with various disciplines.
Essential Job Function
- Assesses the patient's situation and requirements within the assigned unit to ensure the delivery of individualized nursing care that meets their specific needs.
- Studies patient records, diagnostic reports, and current health situation to devise personalized nursing care plans.
- Establishes nursing methodologies, encompassing medication delivery and therapies, to furnish thorough and beneficial patient interventions.
- Harmonizes medical records to confirm their accuracy and alignment with both regulatory and organizational standards.
- Assesses patient responses to interventions and determines any further interventions needed to achieve defined care objectives.
- Collaborates with professionals from different disciplines to enhance care planning outcomes.
- Performs extra duties as directed.
Education:
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
