Job Description
Overview:
The pivotal role of a Registered Nurse (RN) centers on providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the proficient and compassionate utilization of nursing expertise. With oversight from superiors, this position fosters professional nursing practices by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among various healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and medical conditions of patients in the assigned area to administer personalized nursing support and treatment.
- Scrutinizes patient data, encompassing medical background, diagnostic outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate personalized nursing care programs.
- Reviews medical documents to verify precision and adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal protocols.
- Evaluates the response of patients to interventions and identifies any extra steps required to accomplish the defined care goals.
- Cooperates with a multidisciplinary care group to ensure cohesive care plans.
- Performs extra duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
