Job Description

Overview:

This role provides valuable support to the inpatient nursing department by assisting with scheduling and staffing efforts. The nursing department database must also be maintained and updated consistently. The schedule for this position will vary, with an average of 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • The Staffing Office is responsible for maintaining daily staffing operations. This includes collecting information such as the facility's census, acuity, and staff availability. The office also gathers the weekly staffing needs of the nursing departments. Lastly, communicates with relevant personnel about staffing issues and distributes flexible resources schedule as directed.
  • The Optilink staffing and scheduling system is upheld, guaranteeing optimal staff scheduling.
  • Captured nursing department call-outs utilizing Safety Zone Portal and Optilink systems.
  • Coordinates the application of elderly care sitters. Teams up with AC's to arrange elderly care sitters and monitors their performance with precision.

Qualifications:

This job listing mandates that all applicants have a high school diploma or a GED

Pursuing additional training after high school in the area of computers and secretarial certification is the preferred route

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must have at least one to three years of experience working in a secretarial or clerical capacity, with demonstrated achievements that show advancement over time

Those with experience in healthcare and previous work as a staffing coordinator are highly encouraged to apply.
