Job Description
Cone Health Western Rockingham Family Medicine, located in Madison, North Carolina, just a short drive from Greensboro, is looking for a patient-focused Family Medicine physician to join its team in 2027. This role offers a fully outpatient rural primary care setting, serving a large and diverse patient base across Rockingham, Stokes, and Guilford counties. As the largest practice in western Rockingham County, it combines the advantages of a major healthcare system with the supportive environment of a close-knit community practice.
The practice follows a team-based approach, consisting of three physicians and five advanced practice providers, allowing for efficient task sharing and greater focus on patient care. Physicians benefit from a four-day workweek and a busy schedule that includes comprehensive primary care services. The facility is well-equipped with 18 exam rooms, on-site lab and X-ray services, and a bone densitometer. A newly redesigned office, along with the addition of mammography services, is expected to be completed by mid-2027. This is a 100% outpatient rural primary care opportunity with a busy, diverse patient population and strong community connection.
We serve Rockingham, Stokes, and Guilford counties and are the largest practice in western Rockingham County, offering the resources of a large system with the feel of a close-knit community practice.
