Job Description
Overview:
In the role of RN Per Diem, the individual provides exceptional patient care and utilizes nursing knowledge to promote effective medical care and positive patient results on an as-needed basis. Working closely with supervision, this position collaborates with the healthcare team and looks toward senior medical professionals for guidance in addressing complex situations to ensure optimal patient care on specified daily shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in executing patient evaluations, physical exams, and therapies to facilitate complete and personalized patient care daily.
- Backs the evaluation of patient data to steer medical judgments, treatment schemes, and actions.
- Aids in carrying out prescribed medical interventions and treatments to uphold adherence to protocols and advance patient safety measures.
- Engages with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to foster better patient outcomes through improved coordination and communication.
- Requests support and input from seasoned healthcare providers when facing complex patient circumstances and difficult medical situations to enhance the quality of patient care.
- Undertakes any other assigned obligations.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
