Job Description
Overview:
Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for administering superior patient care and guaranteeing successful patient results by effectively utilizing their nursing expertise with compassion and efficiency. This position requires working under broad supervision to uphold professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care using the nursing process and collaborative efforts among various healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the needs and medical conditions of patients in the assigned unit to provide individualized nursing interventions and assistance.
- Assesses patient records, which consist of medical past, diagnostic outcomes, and existing health status, in order to formulate customized nursing care programs.
- Confirms the accuracy and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Assesses the patient's reaction to interventions and identifies any supplementary actions needed to meet the defined goals of care.
- Works jointly with interdisciplinary caregivers to establish effective care strategies.
- Executes any other responsibilities given.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
