Job Description
With supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) administers top-notch patient care and secures favorable patient results by using nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. This role fosters professional nursing standards through the coordination of patient care utilizing the nursing process and multidisciplinary cooperation.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and medical conditions to provide nursing assistance within the assigned ward, ensuring appropriate and individualized care for all patients.
- Reviews patient records, comprising medical history, diagnostic findings, and current health status, to create customized care plans for nursing intervention.
- Organizes nursing protocols, like dispensing medications and interventions to offer holistic and impactful patient support.
- Ensures that medical records are in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies through reconciliation.
- Examines the way patients respond to interventions and recognizes the necessity for additional interventions to fulfill established care objectives.
- Engages with a multidisciplinary care group to enhance care plan effectiveness.
- Executes tasks as delegated.
Education:
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
