Job Description
In the role of a Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem, the focus is on delivering superior patient care and utilizing nursing knowledge to ensure efficient medical treatment and beneficial patient outcomes on an as-required basis. Operating under supervision, this position collaborates with the healthcare team and seeks guidance from experienced medical professionals to address demanding situations effectively for optimal patient care during designated daily rotations.
Essential Job Function:
- Helps with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment procedures to contribute towards all-encompassing and individualized patient care regularly.
- Supports the evaluation of patient data for guiding healthcare assessments, intervention outlines, and measures.
- Assists in implementing advised medical interventions and treatments to promote patient safety through adherence to protocols.
- Aids in improving patient outcomes by working with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate communication and coordinate care efficiently.
- Values the input and advice of experienced healthcare professionals when faced with intricate patient situations and challenging healthcare conditions, with the ultimate aim of ensuring the best possible care for all patients.
- Carries out supplementary duties as needed.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
