Overview:
The role of the Congregational Nurse involves assisting the community at large by tackling differences in health and well-being within a clinical setting. Operating with oversight, this position aims to enhance the health and well-being of both the congregants and the community by providing opportunities for both physical and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates the process for community members to locate a primary healthcare provider, ensuring they are linked with essential healthcare services.
Enhances the well-being of individuals by offering personalized health counseling aimed at crafting individualized treatment strategies.
Identifies disparities in healthcare, such as challenges with transportation, housing, and access to nutritious food, in order to address obstacles hindering individuals from enhancing their own well-being.
Helping individuals understand how to prevent and manage diseases, as well as educating them on medications and the healthcare system, aims to enhance awareness and knowledge among members.
Arrange health screenings, fairs, and flu vaccination clinics to promote community wellness by lowering the prevalence of diseases.
Performs screenings and evaluations like monitoring blood pressure and blood glucose levels to detect possible health issues for intervention.
Offers spiritual support by engaging in prayer and attentive listening to promote a well-rounded well-being.
Executes additional tasks as required.
