Job Description
The Diag Rad and CT Technologist WEO is tasked with delivering exceptional patient care while performing CT scans, adhering to authorized workflows and procedural guidelines. This position involves utilizing specialized x-ray machinery to create cross-sectional images of the human body, aiding radiologists in diagnosing a broad range of medical conditions. An option for weekend employment is available, with the staff member expected to meet WEO obligations and complete two shifts during the designated weekend period for a premium pay rate.
Essential Job Function
- Runs head or body x-ray scanners used for creating computer-generated cross-sectional images, often known as CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) scans.
- Executes standard and unique CT tests in adherence to set protocols to decrease the necessity for extra imaging and regulate radiation dose, all while upholding exam efficiency benchmarks.
- Successfully completes all tests and paperwork using Computerized Health Information (CHI) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately spotting all costs related to examinations while rectifying errors to ensure a streamlined process.
- Assists patients in learning about and getting ready for their examinations in order to boost patient awareness and willingness to participate in the procedures, fostering a favorable patient encounter.
- Displays a firm dedication to embracing safe practices, fostering Just Culture values, and following ALARA guidelines to eliminate mistakes and elevate patient outcomes.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalentGraduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

- Required: Will accept any of the following licenses:ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
